JANA LANGE (30) based in Berlin, Germany is known for her PHOTOGRAPHY.

On top of your to-do-list? First of all promoting my new photo book ANIMA to get as many pre-orders as possible and meet production costs! Secondly finishing my new project about wolves and humans. For the past three months I`ve been taking pictures in a Wolf Science Center in Austria. I’m studying the special bond between humans and wolves and its offspring the dog. Your song of the moment? TEARS IN HEAVEN by Eric Clapton. Carnivore or Vegan? Vegan. Do you have any pets? Yes, a German shepherd mix. We now live together for almost 10 years. You are addicted to? Love, sweets, photography, good music, the sun and nature. What is your most treasured possession? My camera and my heart. Your latest (horrible) discovery? Cows with surgical openings cut into their sides in order to provide direct access to the stomach for research purposes. What makes you smile? My son. You are hopeless at? I`m very bad at negotiating anything with my son. I always get the short end of the deal. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? I`m okay with myself. We all make mistakes.

German photographer JANA LANGE is currently promoting her new book project ANIMA. Anima is a photographic study on the relationship between the human being and the animal. We love and admire animals. We take care of them and we protect them. We study and imitate them. We lock them up, torture and kill them. We feed and we eat them. We tame, train and present them. We communicate with them. We need them. Do they need us? Anima is about the animal inside of us. Anima makes us rethink the way we perceive the animal.

ANIMA, 80 pages including 31 photographs and an essay, 250 x 190 mm, offset printing, linen bound hardcover with dust cover, limited edititon of 500, €38 including shipping worldwide
