Photographer: Mikael Kennedy, Age: 32, Base: Brooklyn, New York and a 1995 Chevy G20 Van, is known for: ‘My Polaroids.’
What’s on your mind? Wildness. Your latest tweet? A Kerouac quote: “I see a vision of a great rucksack revolution, thousands or even millions of young Americans wandering around”. On top of your to-do-list? “Columbia” with a “?” after it. Your song of the moment? “Coming Los Angeles” by Arlo Guthrie. Bookmarked anything lately? “nope”. Your latest discovery? Andrew Wyeth. What don’t we know about you? There’s a lot, the lines are pretty blurred. You are addicted to? Travel & Coffee. Where do you find magic? In the light. What would this last question be if you were the one asking? I suppose “where to next?”
This short interview with photographer Mikael Kennedy was lost in digital translation for many months and could finally be recovered. Mikael and I met in Spring 2011 at Little Skips in Brooklyn New York. To be continued soon with more of our talk on photography in the digital age.
